Larry Towell started with the business in 1988, right out of High School. He started with Towell and Sons Auto Sales in the beginning, and from the ground up, washing and selling cars was the norm in the early days.
Looking to his father Carroll Towell for guidance, he and his team learned the importance of customer service, before and after the sale. If you need them, they are always here for you, and so are three of the best service technicians in the business.
Larry is married to Duffey Towell who is also the office Manager. They have two children, Savannah and Zoe Towell who fill their off time with plenty of excitement.
After leaving the dealership for other pursuits, Larry eventually settled back in with Towell and Sons and splits his time today between his family, the dealership, and his third passion, the pursuit of Vintage and Classic automobiles. From the humble beginnings of Henry Ford and the Model T of the Brass Era, through the Epitome of the Muscle Car Era, and on through today, with the most technologically advanced automobiles of all time.
Larry's love affair with four wheels and a motor was a passion born within him as he grew up with the cars his Father, Carroll Towell, collected and worked on throughout his whole life. At the heart of his Father's collection is a 1922 Ford Model T "Depot Hack" that still wears the original wood body that served its owner for years. This near Century Old Ford still sits in the showroom at Towell and Sons Auto Sales. This old Ford is chock full of history and memories, as this was the same car, Larry and Jeff both learned how to drive in. Not many men from their generation can lay claim to learning to drive behind the wheel of a Brass Era Ford.
When you call to speak to one of the "guys" at Towell and Sons, you will likely be talking with Larry. His love of people is something his strong personable upbringing gave him and his brother. You will likely find yourself in a laid back conversation about cars where he will gladly share with you some of what he has learned in over 25 years in and around the business, whether you buy from Towell and Sons Auto Sales or someone else.
We don't have the traditional "Commissioned" Sales Team here at Towell and Sons. You will be speaking with an owner with a vested interest in each and every client who calls, emails, or stops by the Dealership. The Towell and Sons experience is one of low pressure and go at your own pace. No heavy pressure to sell, but a passion of delivering the best automobile possible, with the best service in the business.
Don't take it personal if they are not calling you every day trying to get you to buy, it's just not in their blood. They will always answer your questions, be honest, and always "Do what is right", they are not your average sales team.
Pre-owned cars are pre-owned cars. There are problems that sometimes arise no matter how in depth our inspections. Larry has been known to ship parts all the way to New Jersey to take care of a customer that bought a car only a week prior. He will go to any length to keep you as a customer, and to make you a "living testament" to the dealership.
They want to earn your business and will do what is right to make it happen! You won't find this attitude in many of today's business operations where the numbers rule the bottom line, not the people with whom they forge a relationship. You will never be an account number on our books, and we will always go above and beyond to make sure you get the car you deserve.
